Hi all you Eastern Region members and chapter sponsors! Welcome to the site of our region's convention blog. It's less than two weeks until the 2009 convention begins. I know that my chapter members are excited about attending, meeting other chapter members, hearing from the excellent line-up of authors and presenting their own material (and listening to other's present!). I encourage all of you to check in on our Eastern Region blog to see what sort of experiences we are having here in Minneapolis. Be sure to ask us questions and leave your comments!

Welcome to the convention. I hope you all enjoy being here in Minneapolis at the 2009 Sigma Tau Delta convention as much as I have enjoyed putting the program together. It has been an exciting and challenging but always interesting experience, and now we all get to enjoy the convention.
ReplyDeleteAlexandra Fuller arrived this evening and was excited to see all the sessions lined up for Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. So don't be surprised to see her pop in to your session to hear you read your paper or your creative work. And don't miss her talk Thursday night. She is charming and interesting and really looking forward to talking to an appreciative audience of lovers of language and literature.
Enjoy the convention and enjoy the Nicollet Mall and the independent book store about four blocks from the hotel. Use the heated skyways if you don't want to walk on the street level.
